Amboseli National Park lies close to the Tanzanian border in proximity to Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro (5895mt). Several clearwater springs within and close to the park are fed by ice-melt water and rain from Kilimanjaro that filters underground through great layers of volcanic rock.
Amboseli belongs in the elite of Kenya’s national parks, its signature attraction is the sight of hundreds of big-tusked elephants set against the backdrop of Africa’s best view of Mt.Kilimanjaro.
You will also see wildebeest and zebras, with a reasonable chance of spotting lions, cheetahs and hyenas.
The park is also home to over 370 bird species.
